The Ren Faire

The next fun we had was at the Renaissance Festival. Kade flew high on the bungee cords and he and I both got sprayed down by an elephant. By the time we were done I was completely drenched. We had a lot of fun walking around looking at all the goodies to buy and all the people dressed up. I even got a henna tattoo on the inside of my wrist. It was an awesome weekend and I was very sad when I dropped off Mom and Dad at the airport.

Sedona

Our next stop on our road trip was Sedona where we stayed the night and the next morning we traveled to Camp Verde and went to Out of Africa. We had a lot of fun on the bus tour and Kade made a friend. His new friend is a giraffe named Pilgrim. Pilgrim kept giving Kade kisses when he wasn't looking and then gave Kade a high five that I caught on camera. We saw lots of animals and even got to feed a few.

Grand Canyon

My parents came to visit earlier this February. We did a little sight seeing around Arizona. Our first stop on our mini-road trip was up to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. There was an obscene amount of snow up there (according to Arizona's standards) and Kade had an absolute blast making snow balls and throwing them at us. He even managed to entice a few foreign sight seers to join in the snow ball fight. The view was gorgeous although I had trouble letting Kade walk around the fences.....its just sooooo far down. As Greg put it 'you would have a long time to think before you went splat.' That pretty much says it all.
