Catching Up
Well I have been very remiss in keeping up with my blog. Sorry for all you followers out there. There really has not been any ground breaking news as of late though, so this post will be kind of dry. I started a job about two months ago and am enjoying it very much. I work for the payment department of Progressive Financial a collections agency that handles account for the US Dept of Education, the IRS and so many more government agencies. So far I like it a lot, sometimes it can feel like highschool though, some of my fellow coworkers don't have a lot of work experience under their belt so they feel that the world owes them a favor by doing what they do....they just haven't come to the realization that the world just doesn't owe them anything. The job always keeps me on my toes, I'm finding that I'm missing the super fast pace and stress of my last job working in an accounting department as the accounts receivable for a corporate location. I never thought that I would feel that way but I do....kinda sad, most people are hoping to find that job they can complete with their eyes closed. I'm hoping to start school again in the winter quarter, just waiting for my residency to come in, plus I have to find out which of my credits are going to transfer and which classes I'm going to have to take again to complete my degree, I'm looking forward to it though.
Kade is doing very well. He is so freaking computer smart right now. He can turn on and load the computer, he can navigate the programs and get to the game he wants to go, and he can even type in the URL address for pbskids to play the games there. He keeps battling us with the potty training but mainly its because he just doesn't want to quit playing his ever exciting games, although since the trick is that he can't play if he's wet his pants he's getting a lot better about running to the bathroom when the urge arrives. Hopefully that will continue. He is getting so big it amazes me all the time, I keep having to go clothes shopping he is growing so fast! He has gone up four shoe sizes since the beginning of summer, thank goodness this isn't Washington and he can wear flip flops all the time!
Tut the dog is growing too. Kade is madly in love with him and cuddles him all the time. He such a little clown! Running after things and sliding into the wall absolutely everytime! Our house is slowly becoming a home. There are so many updates we want to do, like putting in wood flooring throughout the house and crown molding, but sadly money just doesn't grow on citrus trees like it used too. We have got some things worked on, we put a new light fixture in the kitchen, and have bought one for the dining room, we've just not had a chance to put it up, although it is a must for this weekend! Kade's room is completely decorated, I am repainting his dresser right now, the original color turned out to be a salmon orange which does not go with the bold blue color of the walls, so I went to the store and picked out a really orange orange so we don't have that problem again! I have a couple chairs that I am recovering and then they will go great in our completely empty front room....it looks like we just moved in if you walk through the front door, not that we did about five months ago. I'm working on that though! We have revived the front and back yards and if I say so myself they look good, they will look even better once its not 110+ degrees out daily and we can really work on it.
Greg is doing great too. He completed his bachelors a couple months ago and will be starting again in January to complete his masters. He is still at Boeing and although the people there are frustrating he does enjoy his job no matter what he tells people. We are both on the same schedule right now so that is fun, we leave at the same time and even though I get home a little bit later than he we still get to spend our evenings as a family.
Hope everything is well with everyone and miss you all!!!!!!

Love and Logic
So Greg and I went to a parenting class on Saturday. It was amazing. I think if this information was given to everyone the instant they found out they were pregnant that all of our lives and our kids would be so much happier and stronger! It is called Love and Logic, you can get the information at any bookstores, libraries, and half.com. Check it out! It teaches you how to not have power struggles, underestimate your children, and to be a stronger family. Love you all and hope that you check it out!!
Kade's Arm
Okay just and FYI for everyone: Kade's arm is healing very very well. Once we got the healing process going with some special meds it started mending really quickly and I don't think it is going to have any lasting scars!! Yippee...the kid already has one to many.

Treadmills are not healthy...continued
So I noticed today that Kade's hand and lower arm were swollen so I immediatly took him to Urgent Care. After a hellish couple hours with a toddler in a waiting room we got to see the doctor, as always we were only back in the examining room for about ten minutes.... the result?: Kade has an infection, the Doc thinks that it is MERSA but we won't find out for a couple more days....the treatment?: some kind of cream and wrapping his arm up like a mummy. Poor kid...although his really bad attitude right now doesn't make me empathize with him very much.

Tut
Meet the newest member of our family....Tut which is short for Tutankhamun. He is an 8 week old Besinji male. He is so far a little stinker but all puppies are. We got him from my friend Jezika, he is one of four to come from the first litter of her two Besinji's. You can see the other ones on desertdiamondkennels.blogspot.com. Other than a very sleepless night (he is lonely being away from all his brothers and sisters) it seems like he will fit in well with our little family.
Seeing Frogs
FINALLY
So we finally moved into our house two weeks ago today! I am enjoying being free! I am slowly putting the house together....lots of painting and refinishing furniture! My big project today is the head and footboards to my bed...I'm going to refinish them in black to match the bedside tables I refinished!! Kade's room is a cool blue and his dresser is orange...lots of projects! My goal for this week is to paint the living and family room plus the kitchen. Should be fun....

Never Ever Again
I don't think I am ever going to want to purchase a house again. We have been trying to get into this house for the past four months. We have been told we can move in like four different times and then at the last minute it has fallen through. It happened again last week, if we don't close by the 30th we will lose the house. Sadly it is relying on others that is ruining our chances, waiting on underwriters, real estate agents, and mortgage brokers. What a pain in the toosh!!
